About Lynn

IMG_1041.jpg

I was elected to the RTD Board of Directors in November 2018, representing District O. District O includes the most northwestern portion of the RTD area including all of the City of Boulder, Superior, Louisville, Lyons, Nederland, and the portion of Longmont west of Hover Road, and the majority of unincorporated Boulder County, generally lying west of North 95th Street

I am a small business owner and former attorney with broad experience in managing a business and in financial analysis. My business, Catalyst Communication, partnered with city transportation departments around the country (including Seattle, Cambridge, Denver, Boulder, Tucson, Anchorage, and others) to market and promote their transit, biking, and walking options. Catalyst Communication worked for years in the bicycle and outdoor industries, and I worked with mobility advocacy efforts at the federal, state and local levels.  Under the leadership of my late husband, Leslie Bohm, Catalyst was one of the original founders of People for Bikes (then Bikes Belong).

Before that, I graduated from CU Law School, and practiced law for a number of years. I clerked on the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. After practicing law at Holland & Hart, I taught Land Use Planning, Local Government Law and Environmental Law courses at CU Law School.

Lynn is serving a second term as First Vice-Chair of the RTD board, and has served three years on the board executive committee.  I've worked extensively with the legislature, the Polis administration and RTD's federal, state and local lobbyists in her role as chair of the RTD board government relations committee.  I have worked with staff, leading the board's efforts on the Zero Fare for Better Air initiative in August 2022 and 2023; I've served as vice-chair of the General Manager's Oversight Committee as we brought in a new CEO to move the agency forward.  I now am helping lead the move RTD to zero emission vehicles.

Governor Polis recently appointed me to the Regional Air Quality Council. In addition to years of work on transportation and climate issues, I have a long history of serving the community on safety net, justice and equity issues. Among many other civic activities, I served as chair of the board of Emergency Family Assistance Association and Boulder Housing Partners Foundation and a board member of Focus Reentry, Intercambio and Commuting Solutions.  I have served as president of Democratic Women of Boulder County and as treasurer of Governor Jared Polis’s congressional campaign.
